Someone care to explain what a pain means?
Ok.... the question I have for you folks is.... Why do I get a pain under my right rib when I peddel hard after I have eaten or drank? I guess it goes with the whole "dont swim for xxxx hours after you eat" So anyone have a solution other then not eating or is this maybe something that will go away as I get in better shape. This is getting to be a pain in the ass (or maybe I should say rib) when I have been riding for a while and I drink something and a few minutes later I gotta slow it down.
Thanks,
Dennis
Thanks,
Dennis

Dennis,
How long have you been exercising? It sounds like the kind of pain you get when starting an exercise program. If not, you might want to see a doctor.

I used to get side stitches in high school and college. Now at 44 there gone. It may just be a combination of age and conditioning.

I posted this on another thread
It's a stitch. We think it's caused by spasm of the diaphragmatic muscles. More often on the right vs. left. we really don't know what causes them but improper breathing, dehydration, improper warm up etc. may all contribute.
