Real Axiom Internet Race

Hey, just trying to find anybody else who has a RealAxiom trainer and would be interested in trying to get the competitor race on the internet working. I'm in terrible shape and probably can't compete with anybody really, but it would still be nice to have something to push a bit harder while training. Also would be nice to set up a network of RealAxiom users, so finding competitors would be easy.

I think the software is only set up to work over a local area network (LAN) but I have a program called Hamachi that is free to download and mimicks a LAN over the internet. So essentially it looks like the computers are on a local network when really they can be spread out all over the world.

Anyway, if you are interested in trying it out please post. You could also email me or private message me on these forums. Email is: dmckenne AT connect DOT carleton DOT ca

Alternatively, I have already created a Hamachi network, so if you download the program and join the network named RealAxiomUsers I will be in there, the password for the network is 12345

Hopefully there is somebody else out there interested in giving this a try.

sounds interesting but the trainer is in the basement where i cant pick up internet. Will let you know if we get a wireless modem.

have you got any of the extra video-races? i have searched the internet but cannot find any at all... looking to buy some but at $50 each its a bit rich. Any chance of starting a torrent if you do have any that is?

Thanks

R A Trainer

Shaz,
Just got the RA trainer. I've only used it once and have ridden one of the two courses only part way. I'm not having much luck viewing the video portion of the course screen up on my projection screen. I have a HDMI out of the laptop and while the graphics show up on the projector screen,(the cadence, distance, etc) the actual video of the ride does not. I will try to contact the folks at RA to see if there is a fix. Keep me in mind for the internet race but until then, I have to fix this bug.

Wow, I kind of posted this and forgot about it.

If you haven't fixed your problem yet, I had the same problem with mine and there is an article in the help manual inside the program that told me how to fix it. Basically I think it was uninstall/reinstall everything basically.
