Spinervals using a Triple
Hello all,
I've really enjoyed using the Spinervals DVD set, but one problem I'm having is that I have a triple chain ring bike and the gearing they use is all for a double.
Can someone help me convert the DVD gearing to my gearing?
I have a 30/42/52T front, and a 12/26T rear cassette (12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, 26)
The gears I'm most interested in are:
"Small Ring in front"- 15, 18
"Big Ring in front"- 12, 13, 15, 18, 21.
Thanks!
Charlie

Thanks!
I'm apparently way underdoing it. Back to the first DVD, I guess, and I'll try it at a higher tension.
Thanks for the help!

You will have to use gear inches to follow along with their workouts.
I don't know your configuration, but here's a comparison chart that I made for you that should help you. What you're looking for is a common gear ratio between the chart on the left and the chart on the right.
Naturally, you won't need all of those gear ratios because some of them will lead to cross-chaining. It's a start, though.

Why not just use exertion/RPE as a measure of effort? They have bars that indicate what your "output" should be. Plus you'll have the added benefit of getting in tune with how your body is responding (something even the pros and coaches rely on as a key measure of performance.)
