Cycling Training Logs

Hey guys & gals, I've made some training logs that anybody can use.

Totally free, you can sign up for an account by going to

https://logs.eyebike.com/

See the demo at

https://logs.eyebike.com/training.php?uid=163

They also double as bike maintenance logs.

The goal behind the logs is for them to be more than just a bunch of data. They help you keep track of excerise & nutrition data and allow you to evaluate color-coded patterns in your overall cycling performance. You can even keep track of how you feel on the days you don't ride. By recognizing patterns, you can better plan for race day or the next big ride. The data can also be downloaded into spreadsheet format so that you can do with it what you will.....

Thank you.... Great suggestion.... yes, just go into your account and select Kilometers for units of measurement.... this way km or k/h is shown with your data rather than mi / mph.

Thanks for the link to this tool, can't wait to use it!

One thing, is there an option that will let me input my average and max heart rate for any given workout in "% of max" instead of BPM? Just for convenience sake.

As long as you input your overall max and resting HR into your account, the system will calculate the %of max based on the BPM inputted.

based on the equation

%MHR = (HR-RHR)*100/(MHR-RHR)

Nice tool. Thanks!

One question, what is the easiest way to scroll thru the calander from month to month? I want to input my proposed schedule of organized rides for next year and it seems the arrows forward and back are the only to do it. I was wondering if there was a way to jump right to the day.

Thanks,

Doug

Hi Doug,

Good point, I'll work on getting an easier way up there. In the mean time, the way you suggested would be the easiest.

Alternatively, if you don't mind inputting the 8-digit date manually, you can just login to your account, go to edit any day, once on that page input the date into the URL as YYYYMMDD and it will jump directly to allow you to edit that day.

Hey eyebike. Is there a way to input multiple rides in one day? I commute by bike and also train separately, so I would like to include both commutes and any extra riding every day.

It would just be nice to have instead of me having to calculate everything, then inputting it all as one big ride.

Thanks.

I made some updates to the logs today.

To jump to a date/month, use the drop down boxes under "Jump to Date/Month:"

To search for text in any of the text fields of the logs use the search: "Search text fields for:"
Search results show "How I felt" color chart. Let's say you do intervals, each time you do them you write "intervals" in the notes. You can then search for "intervals" and see all the days you did intervals at a glance along with which of those days you felt good and which not so good.

Can add multiple rides in one day.
Add the first ride. Then you will be shown a link on the edit day screen "Add additional ride for this day". click that to add ride data for any number of rides during that day.

Like the logs? Please tell your friends. Easy access at https://logs.eyebike.com

The demo can be seen at https://logs.eyebike.com/training.php?uid=163, it's a bit overkill with about 15,000 miles logged per year but gives a good idea of the features of the logs.

Great +++. I've just put a cyclometer back on my bike after going without for 2 years. Looking to improve and wanted somewhere where I can quantify my riding. Going to give this a try!

I'm a little late in finding this thread, but I did sign up and so far like what I have been seeing. I appreciate the section on maintenance and nutrition, allowing the user a separate section to input that data instead of clogging the "description" field with it. Nice.

Is there any way to add fields for cadence (max, average) and speed (max, average)? It's useful to me for tracking my development long term (e.g., increase in average cadence over time, max speed over time, etc.). Also, would it be possible to add a field for body fat percentage in addition to weight? I find BF% to be a much better indicator of fitness than weight.

Keep up the great work, eyebike!

Eyebike:

I don't know if this is already a feature or not as I am still messing around with my newly created account (thanks by the way...neat tool!), but it would be nice to have the option of making these profiles public so that those of us who utilize a coach or something to that effect can allow our coach to access training info for evaluation purposes.
Thanks!
