trendy protein fruit drinks

hey all, what do you think on those fruit drinks that are more and more appeareing alongside of coffee in many cafe shops?

I tend to have a hankering for them, but am always wondering if that protein powder they throw in actually does anything? is it like a cruched diet pill or 'energy enhancer' as my mother's on about. It seems I never feel or notice any increased energy after having one, just a shiver from the coldness of the drink ;)

Also, sometimes I feel more thirsty???

I don't know anything about them. I tend to stick with actual fruit juice.

Well, chris L, one thing to watch out for is a lot of fruit juices will say "allnatural" or something to that effect, but if you do take a look on the back label, in the fine print, 9 times out of 10, there will be a sticker that says "10% fruit juice" or "15% fruit juice."
Always check, if you are into it, as I am :D , for the %age listing on the front And back of the carton or bottle.

i guess no one else drinks fruity drinks :(

Most of them out here are pretty good. There's always a lot of publicity from the ACCC if someone mis-labels something. In any case, for me it's usually just an alternative to the water I drink so much of anyway.

I don't know much about them, but I hear they are bad for your teeth.

I use Whey Protein powder mixed with milk or water as a supplement, and have been happy with it. I am also a skinny, wirey guy who doesn't gain weight.

I ride. I fall down. I get up.
Meanwhile, I keep dancing.

There is something on the market called Vitamin Water. It comes it many different flavors and each flavor has a different function. Example: they have some for recovery , some for energy, balance.I don't drink them when I ride but when I ride at the shop on the trainer depending ow I feel I might have one before, during or after a workout. The flavors are really wild
