Knee problems
If i straighten my knees with my hand on it, i can feel them doing strange things. They both feel slightly creaky and they crack at certain points also. I've read that the creakyness is a form of tenidnitis, does this mean it will go away if i rest for a bit, if so how long? what about the cracking? I'm only 17 so i really hope i haven't destroyed my joints already, does anybody have any idea what this is, what's caused it and how to sort it?
Any input wouldd be gratefully received.

You probably ought to see a Dr. (wow I only see one when I'm carried in). Glucossimn & Condritan (spelling is all wrong but pronounce it like I spelled) GNC and Wallmart carry them in a single pill. Supposed to promote cartledge growth in the joints. I think it helps me and I know it helps one of my dogs.

j.foster , i have the exact same problem. My knees have been creaky since i was about 12. I think it's because the cartiledge protecting the joints of the bones are ribbing together. That's why you get that vibrating kind of feeling. It's from the friction.
I have yet to fix the problem as my doctor doesn't seem to be much help. Glucosamine seems to be effective though. My dad "sampled", meaning took home, about 20 free bottles of glucosamine from a helth show. Haven't tried them, but my dad says it works.

Hi,
you don't need glucosamine; at least not for the next 20 or 30 years. As we get older, our body produces less glucosamine; which gets turned into the stuff that lubricates our joints. You DO need to see a doctor. I am not a doctor, but typically people with knee problems wind up doing exercises to strengthen their knees.
