Steel cut oatmeal with some honey and blueberrries and some mixed grain crackers are tasty and easy to whip up. Now that its hot I use a Heart healthy type shredded wheat instead of oatmeal

I also use about 1/3 of the recommded serving of Protein powder in the oatmeal or cereal. It helps my legs with soreness.

What do you recommend eating after that? I only work 8hrs, but I work outside, and I am always moving, and burning even more calories. In the evining, I get home about 6pm, and have about 3 to 4 hrs get the food I need to recover.
That's probably more whey than you need, but as long as you aren't gaining fat, that's fine. Whatever makes you feel good.

Pasta or similar is the traditional after ride meal. Try to eat dinner as soon as you can. The standard advice is to put the pasta water on to boil while you are drinking your recovery drink. If you can't do that, I eat plain bagel, maybe 1/4-1/2 of a bagel every 15 minutes until I start to feel OK. Some kind of carb drip, anyway.

I have actually lost 30lbs in a little over 5 weeks! That does concerns me a little, but I have also gotten stronger in the same timeframe. I should add, I can afford to lose another 30lbs.
