training software for a Mac?

I got a great deal on a Polar CS600X hrm that came with the Polar Pro training software. However that does not work on a Mac. Are there other mac users on here that can lend some insight into programs that will work on a mac and download the data from my hrm?

I've been using Rubitrack, and I like it, but you've got a more immediate problem. Polar doesn't make Mac driver software, which you need to get data off the device.

There's another training log called iSmartTrain, and they are the only place I've found that publishes drivers for Scandanavian HRMs (my wife has a Suunto). I'm not a big fan of their software. While they do list support for some Polar HRMs, they don't mention the one you've got—I'd suggest downloading the driver and seeing if you can get anything useful out of it. Otherwise you may be SOL.

+1 for Rubitrack. Works really well with my Garmin. I really like the google maps integration too. They're constantly updating too. Good product support.

I use GoldenCheetah...not sure if it will play nice with your HRM but it's free and worth a try: http://goldencheetah.org/

i just found one called Ascent, anyone use that?

Ascent is very good. I've used it for several years and it does all the things I need. The author is a cyclist and I believe originally wrote it for his own use. He's responsive and adds new features, although the feature updates have slowed a bit in the last year or so, because there just isn't that much more to add.

Golden Cheetah is awesome, though i am not positive that it accepts your HRM. Its a free download, though

Ascent is awesome, been using it for years. I just bought Rubitrack through the app store and will post a comparison. I love Ascent, but I am not sure it is being updated regularly.

I use www.buckeyeoutdoors.com.

Free, web based (I use it from my Mac), and jammed-packed with tons of logging & reporting capabilities. I know it plays well with Garmins and Nike+, but I'm not sure about your Polar HRM.

+1 for golden cheetah. It is crack cocaine for power meter users on a Mac

+1 here too. I paid $40 for Ascent. Discovered Golden Cheetah the next day. Haven't turned on Ascent since.

Golden Cheetah is free and is excellent. Simply excellent.

Ascent is great, and plays nicely with GPX files from iPhone based tracking applications (Cyclemeter, Bi.Cycle, MotionX GPS, etc.). I am a little worried, however, that the developer doesn't seem to have been active for quite a while.
