Your Favoriet Smoothie & Enegery Shake Recipes

I just bought a magic bullet type blender and now I need some smoothie and engery shake recipes. What are your favorites? One of my co-workers buys Lean Shakes from GNC.

I also have a magic bullet and I love it. Using one of the magic bullet cubs I fill it about 3/4 of the way with frozen strawberries, a handful of frozen cherries, about 1/2 to 3/4 of a scoop of Muscle Millk's vanilla protein powder, and fill the rest with 2% milk. Its awesome, doesn't take care of the carbs you need after a ride but I eat real food for that.

I use an Oster Pofessional Series that I bought at Target. It only has two speeds and one toggle switch.

I'm older so anti oxidants are a must for me. Practically every morning I use one Sambazon brand Acai Organic berry puree, some blueberries, one banana, some pomegranate juice and ice cubes.

After a long ride, I'll do the same but add three Medjool dates to the mix.

Recently, I have been adding one tangerine and use some of the skin to enhance the flavor.

Last time I made a smoothie it involved ice, banana, strawberry, and milk that had been fermenting on my counter for 3 days with a lactobacillus innoculation (I flash-pasteurized it and then innoculated it). The culture took hold in my stomach and I was immediately cured of my severe and debilitating lactose intolerance.

I like Brenden Brazier's carob smoothie.

2 dates (soaked)
1 banana
2 cups water (I use almond milk)
1 tablespoon hemp protein powder
1 tablespoon flax seed (ground)
1 tablespoon carob powder
2 tablespoons almond butter

Sometimes I add a teaspoon or more of chlorella, but I think chlorella tends to give me diarrhea.
