Post Ride supplements recommendation

For rides going for about 2hrs, what do you guys recommend to use? I know I would want something high in carbs and protein for muscle recovery and restore my glycogen depot. I've been looking at Honey Milk, Herbalife 24, and gatorade pro recovery shake. I'm still a bit lost on what I should be looking for.

2 hours? Just eat whatever you normally eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I wouldn't think you'd need much more for a ride that short.

If you're really hungry, maybe make a chicken sandwich.

Your subject of 'supplements' made me think you were asking about 'supplements', not primary recovery drinks.

Lots of recovery drinks out there in the roughly 4:1 carb:protein ratio. I'm a fan of Hammer's Recoverite myself. Honey Milk seemed so expensive, whereas the powdered stuff is easier to store/dispense/use IMHO.

It depends on the intensity of the ride.

I like Hammer Recoverite but a simple whey protein powder works too and is a lot cheaper..

I use whey powder as well.

Chocolate milk with a small amount of whey protein

Endurox R4 for me.

I use 2 scoops of Hammer Recoverite with 1 scoop of whey protein powder. You want to drink this within 30 minutes of the end of your workout. Been doing this for years.

15g whey protein with ~10g natural sugar here. Also 12 oz. 2% milk with 5T sugar is good. Also chocolate milk is good.

Or a glass of chocolate milk. Yum!

Second that; I also eat an apple because they're delicious (and have carbs and good minerals, to boot). My current favorite variety is Jazz; great texture and just the right amount of sweet for my palate.

depends hugely on how many calories you're burning...

but for me, an Ensure is always the first thing I grab after a ride. even a recovery ride where I may only burn 4-500kj. the vanilla is ridiculously delicious when it's really cold.
