Training plan for competitive cyclist & commuting at the same time

Anyone know of a good website or coach that offers a year-round training plan with a competitive racer in mind? Also, 4-5 days a week commuting to work will need to be considered... about 1 hour and 20 minutes total each commuting day. I could include training during the commute if needed. I'm not sure if I'll be racing this year. I want to definitely get ready for next year though... but want to start as soon as possible to get a good base. Just finished my 4th year of triathlon... want to just do cycling for a little while. Running sucks.

Many good amateur racers commute and train on their commute.

You can use Friel's Training Bible to plan your training season. If you've been training for longer distance Tris you probably have enough base already. Try doing some race-oriented group rides to get used to pack dynamics and the speeds involved.

Don't know why you couldn't. It sounds like you already have a good base to start from and like eric said your next step would be to start riding with others to get a feel for what riding in a group would feel like (i.e. riding in tight spaces, surges, sprints, etc) and come over to the 41 for more ideas.
