Cheap Rollers
 

Hey guys,

I know this has probably been covered but I couldn't find an answer using the search function.

Anyways, I was just wondering what the recommendations are for rollers under $200. I'm looking to get CycleOps with the Resistance Unit. But if there is a cheaper option I'd being willing to consider as I'm just a poor college student.

EDIT: I want something that'll be smooth and last for years to come. I'm open to options under $400 that would be better than the CycleOps as well.

Performance no longer offers their Travel Trac rollers with resistance. Too bad. There's these:

but not any $200. The bare Travel Trac rollers are $160 on sale, which they usually are.

I wouldn't care to buy rollers without resistance, unless I also had a trainer. Cheaper to get ones with resistance.

Do you think that even the 2.25" rollers don't have enough resistance? I do have a mag trainer already.

Craigslist and ebay and shop for used ones. I just yesterday sold some rollers for $40 that just needed a belt. I got my Minoura rollers with a Mag unit and handlebar support (to emulate a trainer) for $50 on Craigslist.

Most rollers and trainers, based on my observations, get little to no use so almost any you buy used should usually be in okay condition.
