Uhhh a Pace-maker???
I had to have a small procedure last week. In my pre-op my rested heart rate was 48. The nurse doing my testing first asked if I had medical issues, then told me with my low resting heart rate that I may need a pace-maker... I started to freak out until my doc came in and said that was normal for someone who endurance exercises regularly. Made me feel pretty good after that! All this work is paying off!!

Yeah, my RHR is between 35 and 40 depending on what season/training I am doing.
I did a first aid course and part of it required taking another person's RHR and writing it on the board... when one of the guys took mine and wrote 39 on the board the instructor told him it was wrong and to do it again, so he did and it was the same, then the instructor came and checked it. He couldn't believe it was so low. :) JMR |
