Recommend Cadence for 3 hour training ride
I need a recommend cadence to follow on a 3 hour endurance ride
i am going to be riding mostly in HRT zone 2 and a burst to zone 3 every 6 to 8 minutes in my training
what type of cadence should i follow, i plan to ride in hills as well,
Recommendations please, i am thinking 70 to 90 rpm for now.
should i go with that and maintain same on hills?
thanks

There is no magical number. People starting out tend to be on the low side. On the flats go as high as you feel comfortable up to about 95. On the hills you can go much lower, especially if you run out of gears and have to stand. I would say when sitting going up hill, try to stay above 75.

Go with whatever feels comfortable. Experiment a little if you're new to cycling. Try riding 5 min at 100rpm, then 5 min at 80rpm. You'll figure it out.
