Skewers for Trainer

Own a Lemond Zurich with Bontrager X Lite wheels. Bontrager skewers are too large to fit into my trainer (Performance Travel Trac III) chucks. Anyone know of any better size skewers to use? Where can I get them cheap? Thanks in advance.

Because of the tension placed on the skewers by the trainer clamp, mine came with a standard heavy duty steel skewer. The kind you can get for about $10, because they are cheap. But, they are steel, and very strong. The lightweight skewers that come with nice wheels should be used for just riding, or you may end up damaging them in the trainer.
Just go to your LBS and geta cheap steel skewer. Most standard skewers fit just fine in most trainers.

I bought some simple bolt-ons from Nashbar to use on the trainer.

www.nashbar.com

Type the word skewer into the product search bar.
