How about good old coffee? We have plenty of caffeine options in pill form, just shoot me a PM.

The problem with coffee before a ride is peeing. I take it in pill form. There are a zillion companies that put up caffeine pills. OTOH, that's not what you need to get your performance charged up. The secret for that is rest. Caffeine really doesn't do much for that. Try taking a couple days off before a TT.

I think my brother gets his caffeine either in tablets or 5-hour energy type mini bottles.
He has raced sportscars and unlike cycling, their pitstops are just for the car not the driver.
Me, I like coffee drinks chased by diet cola on my drive to the bicycle event start. It gets things moving well.

If only there were some way of getting caffeine and water in the same beverage, with great taste and available on any street corner in America. Or even better if you could prepare it yourself in your own kitchen.

I like coffee/espresso before rides and do that fairly often.
I also take preworkout drinks designed for weightlifting. Find one that doesn't mess with your stomach. NO Xplode tastes great but usually makes me a little gassy to be racing my bike.

Caffeine Selection at NutriLogic.net <- Probably more choices than you'll ever need! My suggestions would be the NutraKey if you want an easy pill to swallow. Dirt cheap too.

Nothing beats espresso. It's my favourite.

I'm not normally a fan of Starbuck's but their chilled Vanilla Frappuccino from Convenience stores has saved my ride on a few brevets. It caffeine, calories, carbs, fats, and protein in a tasty liquid form that is quick to drink and easy to digest.

I am an espresso fiend.....properly pulled shots don't much more than 60 mg of caffeine whereas a large drip brewed coffee can be 400mg.

This helped me the other night on a ride.

Sobe Energy or Sobe Adrenaline if you need a little more (caffeine+carnitine+taurine). Or try cat milk (at any pet store) in your coffee.
