Wetsuit?
My daughter is doing her first Tri and ask me to join her. After 15yrs away from the sport I pulled out the old Ironman wetsuit and was surprised I was able to get it on. My question is how much has the technology changed in the past 15 yrs

I'm surprised that the neoprene hasn't totally deteriorated. My fairly new Orca wet suit has various thickness of neoprene strategically placed. 5 mil neoprene on lower legs/thighs and hip area. Very thin flexible neoprene across the back, shoulders and arms. The thin neoprene around the shoulders makes for easy swim stroke. Once I'm in the water and swimming I don't ever notice my suit, I'm just faster and swim with less effort.
Also, top grade neoprene is very expensive making for some $$$$$ suits.
