the name says it all
i am training for a sprint tri, my first and am just looking for pointers. as i am 256# and im sure there are things that differ for heavier guys. im not overweight im just 6ft 5in and bout 10% body fat. the gym is my first passion but i want to do a tri to see if i like it as well. i cycle and run have for years. swam years ago, and am now working up my endurance. thanx for any help

I'm not as big as you, height or weight, but I suppose the same basics apply. Just get out there and start training like a mad man. If anything starts to hurt, then back off.
