Backpacking trip two weeks before race

My Ironman race was pushed to September (We'll see if it actually happens anyway). I have a 3 day backpacking trip schedule for the end of August. Will taking those 3 days and not biking have a big impact on my race?

I guess it depends on what your expectations for the race are. You could twist an ankle, or trip and fall and tear a rotator cuff bracing yourself...and be completely out of the race. But accidents aside...I wouldn't think the hiking-noncycling would be detrimental. If you feel like it will...do some lunges and squats frequently as you hike along.
