For those who simply do not know whats coming......BEHOLD!!!!....... The 2007 Felt DA TT/Tri bike!!!!!!!!

Notice that the rear brakes are placed of all places behind the cranks. Felt claims a 4% decrease in overall drag because of it. I also like the continuing trend of aero hinged integrated forks. Felt is also claming because of wind tunnel tests this baby is the fastest TT/Tri bike to date. Gawd, forget the TT01....THIS is my new dream bike!
And at only $7,000.00 US....its a steal!

I personally dont like it. Too many curves for my liking. I would rather a P3c or P2c, if I would go carbon. Variety is the spice of life. Do the 808's come stock?

They haven't updated their US site but it would seem according to the German site they do. Although, I don't actually understand German. :\

EDIT: I dunno though....the design works for me. My favorite part is the front aero hinged fork like on the BMC TT01. And the actual curve on the fork is umm.......alluring.

That thing's cool. But It's so similar to the Look 496 TRI, I like the 496 better.

Look at the shape of the felt da's down tube though. Sorta reminds me of one those high tech combat knives you see in the military magazines.

Besides: I think I like the Felt better than the look 496 Tri....its still very impressive of course:

I'm pretty certain that the 808's come with the bike. I just ordered an '07 S22 and hope to get it within two months. I wa going to get the '06 but they were all out of my size (even at the vendor). All of the '07's from Felt have new frames. Check here for some more info if you can't get to the German site (Seems to be down at the moment).

Ugliest bike ever.

The downtube is horrible.

Case of function over form? Only if it's the absolute fastest bike ever made, which I think goes to the recumbent category, anyway.

Not intending to burst bubbles, but I like Jim Felt's designs, but he must have got ahold to some bad crack when he approved that melted candle on wheels.

Two thumbs way down.

Felt has been avoiding carbon because Jim feels everyone is doing it wrong, i.e. too pretty but not fast. This bikes tubes diameter is a mere 25mm, narrower than any bike I know of except maybe a Hooker.

From what I understand, Felt did a lot of stuff with the duwntube, from a straight line to almost touching the front wheel and they found it was to be curved to the wheel, but it could have a little space.

This bike takes all the good things that have come form about 5 bike manufacturers and puts them together and goes the next step in some ways.

Narrow tubing, 25mm (Cervelo 27mm next most narrow)
Integrated front end with 3 stem lengths (Look did what you see below but with their adjustable stem)
Hidden rear brake (Various companies have done it, by the BB seems like a good choice since the air their is fairly "dirty" any ways)
Seat tube cutout (Everyones got it)

What I don't think people notice is the downtube is more horizontal which was one of the dramatic improving factors.

So, does this replace the B1, or merely add another model over top of it?

IT'll be in rank of price...

DA Carbon in bike and frameset
B2 Carbon in bike maybe frameset, same as DA without the integrated front end/fork
S22 Alu w/ carbon stays
S32 Alu
