aero bars and tri reading questions

I am planning on doing my first few tri's this summer, and am looking for advice on both a decent set of aero bars to attach to my felt f3c, and a good training/how to book on running tri's. I am in decent shape, but want something that will explain the small points and possible training plans. thanks

The Triathlete's Training Bible

My friend picked it up afew weeks ago and it's pretty detailed about everything.

Also, http://www.beginnertriathlete.com has plenty of very informative articles ranging from gear choices, training tips, and race reports from "new" triathetes.

I don't have a book to recommend, but I would suggest you check out the website www.slowtwitch.com which is one of the premier triathlon-oriented sites on the net. There are tons of great articles and there's a VERY active forum where you can ask questions, get advice, etc. They even have a wonderful classifieds forum where you can find tons of used tri stuff on the cheap.

Good luck!

I second the triathlete's training bible. Very detailed and will be great to read and plan your first season with.

I third everyone elses suggestion about the training bible. I also enjoyed "Nutrition for Endurance Athletes". I'm in the process of reading it and it's interesting how much science goes into sports nutrition. I found it on Amazon for $13 if I remember correctly. Good luck!
