Vent or Fly?
Finally found a shoe that fits, the Specialized Trivent. Also found a new shoe for a little less, the new Pearl Izumi Tri Fly with the nylon composite sole. Also looks like it could be a good fit. So which way do you go? The Trivents have a carbon sole which I guess is a plus, but the PIs look to be better lined, and I imagine more comfortable for a long, sock-less, bike leg. What say you all? Anyone have race tested experience to share?

im pretty sure people will just recommend you attempt to try them on first, because the fit is the most important. if you cant try those exact pears on see if your LBS has any pairs form the same company and try those on to get more of a feel of how the shoe fit is for those brands

Well, the fit of course is key. I went with the Trivents. Still not sure how to get into these things while on the bike, but looking forward to figuring it out.
