My New Aero Helmet reallyworks

I was sporting my new aero helmet a LG on my ride yesterday and did not really appreciate the value until I was flying down a hill above 40mph...as I moved my head to see going from my tuck head down to head up to "SEE" position I could actually feel the wind getting focused down my back very cool like a little vortex....It is hot though not much in th eway of air vents

An aero helmet saves approx. 10 watts at 40 kmh.

Aero bars save approx 30 watts at 40 kmh.

Just donīt wear one for a training ride (unless itīs the winter).

Who knew that you could save 3X the watts by wearing aero bars on your head? Wow!

Which is why my fat sweaty ass will never get an aero helmet. Nor one my head, either, for that matter.

Wear it in training to get used to it. Just not every training ride.
