sleeves or no sleeves?

Happy New Year everyone!

I rented a sleevless Xterra wetsuit this summer. It was a medium and it was too tight across the chest. So for Christmas I asked for a full sleeve thinking the arms might help give me more propulsion. The sleeveless was fine though.

I tried on the full sleeve - it's a 2XU, got it in Large this time for more chest room. I know they should be tight but ....I don't know if it's me and what I expect it to be but, it's waaaayyy too tight. I can hardly reach my arms over my head. It's very tight everywhere else. Now I'm thinking sleeveless is the way to go??? Has anyone had a sleeve over sleeveless epiphany??

The 2XU chart shows me in a medium, XL is for a 6'4" 220 lb guy- I', 5'9" 160.

Well, i have no experience with 2XU wetsuits, but with my Blueseventy i have to put it on, then pull the neoprene up to my shoulders. I don't know what tight is to you, but for me and my swimming background, the tightest thing you can wear that does not rip is generally what you want.

You may want to check out other brands and try to get one that matches your body type, or just try pulling the material to your shoulders. I don't really think sleeveless is the best idea. for me, the sleeves are not that much of a problem.

Thanks for the help, I tried it on again, pulled it way up and I had more motion in the shoulders - it should be fine. I also watched a Tri DVD and the guy was pulling his on like a 2nd skin. I feel better now - whew!

Sleeveless! Your arms will stay warm by themselves.
