wetsuit question
 

I live in Florida but am thinking about a wetsuit for the spring and fall tri's. I do not have the funds (nor the real need) for a full body wetsuit.
Have been thinking about either a jacket:

I'm leaning towards the latter as is will best manage core temp, but what do you guys think?

I would go with the 2nd of the 2 - the Little John if these are your choices. The jacket may have some issues - is it tri thickness approved? It looks like it might be more of a hassle to get off. It might put you at an odd swimming angle because a wetsuit adds bouyancy and that would give it to you in the upperbody where you don't really need it so it could throw you off. Why wear a wetsuit if your not going to get the maximum benefits of wearing one.

If you go with the 2nd suit make sure it fits tight. Since it is sleeveless you don't want alot of leakage flowing through the suit and contering the slippriness of a wetsuit.

Looked it up and as of 2013 wetsuits cannot be 5mm or thicker, since the shorty suit is 3 mm it is good to go. Yeah, I think I know what I want. Thanks.
