Good Starter Bike??

Hey guys, I'm 14 I have been doin triathlon for almost a year now and am starting to look around for a new bike for ME. Over the summmer I just used an '87 Miele that a freind lent me. I am almost six feet and probably won't grow more than another inch or two, and since i am CAnadian i was looking at a couple of Canadian bikes Tell me what you think and if you have any suggestions please make them.

http://www.cervelo.com/bikes/SL105.html I've heard this one is very easy to adjust from a road bike to a try bike with clip on aero bars.

If you are looking for Canadian manufacturers you may also want to check out Guru. A couple of my friends have them and are really happy with them.
My wife and I both have Cervelo Soloists and really like them if that is any help. I haven't tried out the tri geometry on it yet though.

I have a Soloist Team and love it. Accelerates great and handles amazing. I got that instead of the Dual because I also wanted a good road bike. If fact it is a better road bike than tri bike. I've done two tri's with it and and it is a decent tri bike. If you only see using it for tri's go for the Dual. If not go Soloist.

As for team versus 105 the differences are significant is you ride them back to back. If the price difference isn't an issue go for the team. I found an '03 Team on sale and therefore only paid a little more than an '04 105 and its the best money I have spent.

One last point, if you are 6 feet and only 14 I'd guess you're still grow quite a bit. I had several friends who grew 3-4 or 5 inches from 14 to 19. Just something to think about before dropping a lot of money on a new bike. Maybe go used for a couple years and then buy the newest bike.

sounds like you made a decision. i think the soloist should be great. if you're still looking, QR (www.rooworld.com) have good tri bikes at a reasonable price.
