How do you stay motivated
I guess I'm hitting a tough spot in my training.... I commute about an hour every day for work. luckily I dont have to be at work early but its an hour driving no matter what, I can stay on top of running running since I dont really care what the weather is like, but when it comes to jumping on my bike and its windy as hell, I have zero motivation to get out there on my bike. Swimming I'm not really worried about since I swam when I was younger and usually with about a month of training I get to around 1:20 on my 100 times and I'm pretty content with that.... But its the damn bike that I keep "falling off the wagon" with....
Any tips to keep motivated on crappy weather days for the bike, or should I finally just pony up for a trainer...

I am not a big fan of riding in crappy weather either. I put my rollers to good use this long and cold winter on the east coast. Doing that and some weight training with the legs has produced the best results ever this spring.

really it comes down to wind, i really hate riding solo in the wind, i guess it might be because i just did my first group ride, and being able to draft in the wind had me up in the 20's vs spinning around 12mpg because im solo in the wind....i actually prefer to weight train, and generally its my main source of exercise, i generally do 5x5 of squats at 225, and occasionally bump it up to around 265, i know i have strong legs but i really just want to lay in bed after work and watch a movie and eat chips lol
