Evans cycle over pricing tarmac sl7 is this acceptable

see below email from Evan cycles over inflating their prices by 250 over RRP - is this acceptable.

Hi,

Following on from our conversation earlier I contacted our buying team regrading the heightened price of the Tarmac SL7. Unfortunately, the price will remain at 6500. I believe the price was increased in order to reflect the difficulty of availability as we are currently one of the only retailers with free stock. However, in the case that Tredz stocks your desired model we will be more than happy to price match.

Apologies for any confusion.

Kind regards
Max

Not to the same extent but I notice that Halfords have upped some of their bike prices over the past few days.

I just had a look and you're right, the Zelos disc has gone up, and they seem to have brought back an older cantilever version. I'd assumed the prices would fall now as stock and winter was coming in.
