Advice on trousers/pants for autumn or winter
 

Hi
I returned to commuting to work, 7 miles each way, this Summer. I work in Cardiff, so I am expecting cold, rain and wind for the next few months, although it will probably mostly be mild and grey. Do I go for 3/4 length cargo-type pants, or full length trousers? Is it worth paying over £50 for cycle specific clothes like I see at my local Evans cycles? I am minded to go for the 3/4 length things, but do you think these are adequate in the winter?
