A reason to ride

As a utility cyclist do you require one? What's it take? Will you make an excuse to ride? Just for fun (and mebbe motivation lol).

I have myself a reason to ride tomorrow... Can't wait.

I try to ride most days. If I need to get somewhere quick, I take my scooter.

I have always needed some form of destination. Even if it was four states away!

These days my average daily bike ride is about 2 miles. 1 mile to work, 1 back home. Grocery - 1 mile each way. Bars and eateries - walking distance.

I just love riding! Sometimes I'll go out of my way to ride extra miles on my utility trips. For example, yesterday I added five miles to a grocery run with the trailer, just riding (with the empty trailer) through some neighborhoods.

I ride mostly for exercise but also seek out anything I can do to avoid driving the truck. I rode 16 miles today to help my parents. I made a pretty fast trip there and took my time coming home. I've made some 35 mile trips for little items in town to avoid driving also. Once I get a trailer built/bought I plan to eliminate most vehicle driving.
