Careful that you don't get run over by one of those Clintonites.

Stax, I like it! :D

totally OT: but is that how you ride that saddle? I just got the same one and was reading a lot of advice like -"point the nose up further than you think, then up some more" but i had issues with it, and it was way less than yours. now I'm closer to flat and battling the slide forward.... Great looking xtra-cycle! I would think the attention the bike attracts will help your candidate! I just went Burly Flat Bed Trailer because my hauling is mostly just one day a week... but i will do the xtra-cycle next...

We argue about the utility-ness of fixie here, not politics ;)

I was just sort of kidding about the Clintonites. However, there is a potential downside to expressing your political opinions from a bike.
For what it's worth, they do make actual billboard bikes specifically for advertising. I have seen pictures of them mainly in Europe. http://www.pedicab.com/pedicabs_billboard.html http://www.inssa.com.co/eng_bike_billboard.htm |

Did you look at any ways to post something behind you instead of just on the side? |

That saddle looks like it would pinch and squeeze parts of the male body that ought not to be pinched or squeezed.

Hmmm... I've been working on a flat bed trailer conversion. It wouldn't be too hard to make a billboard modification. Airfoil type shape... doubles as a massive "being seen" light. I wonder what advertisers would pay. Maybe I could make riding pay as well as being safer.

Mine is visible.
My political take was removed for some reason. I guess you can be for obama just not against him. Not surprising.
Anyway, here is the advertisment for my business. My website is not finished yet. |

That is actually a 34" wide, 2 feet tall by 8 foot long cargo box bolted to a 8 foot bikes at work trailer.
There is a total of about $700.00 put into that rig but I would not trade it for the world. There is also a flyer holder on both sides of the box. Tomorrow there is a "show me yards" meeting at a local rec center where about 200 people interested in environmentally sound yards will be. The bike rack is only about 4 feet from the front door so that is where this rig will be parked. All of those people will see my rig, be awed by it and some will pick up a flyer. Its a pretty sneaky way to advertise in places that you probably should not be allowed to advertise. :D |

Just saw this- click on the "pedicab" link in my earlier post, it appears to be one of their bikes:

I acquired some Obama campaign spoke cards. They look like this.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2192/...bc17b0.jpg?v=0 It also happens I have some extra, so if you are interested in them, send me a PM. In the spirt of nonpartisanship, I would be happy to refer people to Clinton or McCain campaign spoke cards. Sadly, I have looked everywhere and it seems those campaigns are not producing them. If you are a Clinton or McCain supporter, you should consider writing their campaigns and ask for campaign promotional materials that are meant for bicycles. I hate it when people just assume you must have a car (or even a lawn). It's time they knew they have supporters who don't drive all the time - or even at all. |
Ride on Obama, Ride on...
