Not sure I fit the Xtracycle Culture

There's a testimonial on Xtracycle.com that lists all the passengers an owner has carried on his FreeRadical. I'm a fairly liberal, open-minded guy, and I have an Xtracycle on order to prove it. But now I'm wondering if I really fit into the Xtracycle culture after seeing the first three passengers on the list.

--------------
Noteworthy passengers so far have included:

* My wife
* My boyfriend
* My boyfriend's girlfriend

* My mother
* My mother-in-law
* My boss' boss
* The hottie at the running shoe store
* BOTH hotties at the bike shop

I don't see the connection between one's lifestyle choices and the Xtracycle in completely unrelated areas of life. But if it makes you feel better, you could drive an Escalade and associate with Dick Cheney instead!

Are you saying my Xtracycle is supposed to get me laid?
I don't think mine came with that feature.
Damn.

I guess I did not read that ever, but I don' t see the point of the OP. Who cares if you fit into a particular lifestyle as long as you are happy.

I just thought a guy referring to his wife, his boyfriend and his boyfriend's girlfriend was unusual, but I guess not to anyone else. I guess if you have to explain the joke...Carry on.

I guess you didn't read the fine print on the xtracycle website- being a promiscuous bisexual is prerequisite for ownership.

If this does not describe your choice of lifestyle they probably won't even sell you one.

Like a Thermos. You put cold stuff in it and it keeps it cold. You put hot stuff in it and it keeps it hot. How does it KNOW?

Anyway, my Xtracycle shipped Friday. If it doesn't show by next Monday, I hope I don't have to go find a boyfriend.

Does this mean...y'know, I don't know where my mitt went, so I guess I'll just have to remember how to pitch.

Gosh, hope mine will help me find a boyfriend. Don't need one who has a girlfriend, however. Trying to keep it simple.

Exactly. I didn't even think there is a particular culture associated with the Xtracycle. I've seen all kinds of riders from single people of all shapes and professions, single mothers, couples, families with kids to hardcore, long distance touring cyclists. I don't believe you have to be a certain type of person to own and enjoy an Xtracycle. Most eXtracycle owners also own other bikes of all sorts: road bikes, mountain bikes, singlespeeds, some are car-car free while some own cars and trucks. I rode a skinny singlespeed bike for two years and I'm not a Hipster

Any way to determine where the post is from? Different countries can use different English terminology particularly if English is not their first language. Also the language changes with time and at different rates in different countries.

Boyfriend could mean literally a male friend, a buddy, with no sexual connotations.

After all in GB a *** is a cigarette and in Australia a mate is a male acquaintance. Historically a ****** was a burning piece of wood and Gay used to mean happy!

Gee I see that the the system censored me for words that the dictionary still lists the old meanings for!
