The whole install went pretty smoothly, no major issues whatsoever. I then rode it back home. Luckily this was also our weekend for our trip to Costco for our two week supply of staples. So I got a chance to test out the new setup... here are a few pics....

The first three are of the loaded rig, the fourth was the wife's laod that she carried back in her back pack...

The worst part were the 30-40mph crosswinds... well really when the crosswinds died instantly while I was compensating, that was the worst.
It never ceases to amaze me how much you can fit on an Xtracycle. Although, perhaps not that much, since your wife had to carry stuff too! Maybe you should have picked up a rack for her when you were in the bike shop?

I know what you mean about wind. I cycled 30 miles today, mostly into the wind - on a nice downhill, which is usually pretty easy to hit 30mph, I really struggled to keep above 10mph!

Oh, and congrats on selling the car. I haven't missed mine at all since I sold it 9 months ago.

Thanks, I love it.... From the few people I know that have them that has been a common complaint... Luckily the only public transport that I ever really use is the train and I can get it on there with no problems...

I could have easily fit the bread and conditioner on my bike I just didn't want the bread to get smashed and I figured it would be smart to keep the perfumed conditioner away from the food... I actually have a rack for her also, she told me she didn't want to install it because then she would have to carry stuff too.... it will make it on her bike eventually, I am just glad she went at this point....

Yeah the wind has been really bad this year... I have hit 40-50 mph winds a couple of times and made almost no progress, it's kind of fun though...

I am not missing the car yet...
