About 95% done before it's time for a rack and other goodies

Looks good, and looks as if it's a good starter. Adding a few bit's here and there, like rear rack panniers and stuff. as you can will improve it no end. And will also improve the carrying capacity.

TDOUG, I can't wait to see how far you take this project! It's so fun restoring and customizing bicycles=) give 50 riders the same bike to tinker with, and you'll get 50 awesome results! Good job so far ;)

tdouglass, this is awesome. :) How are you enjoying riding? I picked up an old 3speed out of a dumpster and was considering a similar "project" thread to save me from asking a bazillion questions.
It looks like you are having a good time with this. |
well done Tdouglas, the best beater/utility bike I had was a Schwinn Varsity with upright bars, single small front chainring on 180mm one piece crank and 13-34 six speed freewheel on 700x35 tires to replace the 27" steel wheels. Held up great as dirt bike and grocery hauler until it was stolen.
