Now I'm wondering how many miles a burrito is really good for:

Let's say that it's a good burrito, loaded with all the trimmings. So that would put it at the 1000 calorie mark (ish).

Let's say you are going to take fairly easy on the bike, so say 200 calories an hour, at 10 MPH (I'm just making the maths easy for myself here)

The tricky bit is figuring out how much of that burrito is being spent propelling the bike, and how much is being spent on the rest of your body doing what it does otherwise. Let's say 25% of the burrito is going to the bike. I have no idea how reasonable that is, but I'm running with it. :)

So, that would make it 12.5 miles to the burrito (MPB). Unless...

You also ate all the calories you needed off the bike in other meals, then your burrito economy shoots up to the 50 MPB you originally stated! Provided you are prepared to ride for 5 hours straight to use the whole burrito.

I'm glad that's sorted.

Now, I want to eat a burrito.

Sounds like Mexican restaurants are going to be a little busy putting this theory to the test.... :lol:LOL:lol:
