Pass this along

I lived in Lincoln for many, MANY years. The folks that started this are some great people. They really worked hard for a number of years to get this going. For this to have happened to them is, frankly, unbelievable. But, thieves are everywhere and are out for whatever they can get from someone else's hard work.

Send them an email of encouragement if you can or, if you have an extra tool or two, how about sending it their way.....

Please pass this along. These folks worked so hard on this. ANY message of encouragement would be GREAT!!!!!

Unfortunately, I can believe it. Bastards.

I wish I were in California where nearly all of my tools are stored.

sucks. sounds like a good thing they had going. going to look up the address and send them a few bucks.

That's pretty rough.
When they get the new stuff, they need to engrave it "Bike Kitchen Tools: not for resale". Won't stop thieves, but will lower the resale value a bit.

That's a good idea. Might want to email it to them as a suggestion.....

got a response, with the addy. thanks. can't send much, but can at least get them a floor pump. just hope they get a yard dog to handle security when not in operation.

How awful. Reading the article's comments about how the tools were so specific, I'm wondering if whoever did this had a larger plan in mind - like, if they're bicycle thieves who need the tools to dismantle/put together a bunch of stolen bikes. Because that's the only thing that makes sense as to why someone would steal a bunch of bike tools.

As much publicity over the internet as this is receiving and, being from Lincoln, I know that the police department there doesn't take kindly to this sort of thing, it won't be long before these culprits are caught. Unfortunately, the tools are probably long gone, except for a few that they probably couldn't sell for whatever reason.

Every little bit helps.
