looks awesome!
Colorado seems to be the Los Angeles for cool bicycles.

Love the matching green helmet! Nice! The Boda Boda is my fave current production cargo bike.

Thanks. This was a very fun project, and it's a lot of fun to ride to the grocery store, bank, post office, etc...

I made a trailer for it:

That is too cool, nice job on the old burly. how was getting the hitch on the chainstay triangle, or is it mounted to the foot rest?

LuMax 07-02-13 01:26 PM

There is no chainstay triangle on this bicycle so I made my own brackets + a Burley Forged Hitch.
Also I could not find any commercially available hitch options that did not interfere with the Boda Boda "Love Handle" (footrest) frame tubing. The short bracket bolts to the axle bolt and hitch, the narrow one acts as a anti-torque arm. It is bolted to an existing frame boss. I wanted to use the same hitch bolt, but again the footrest tubing got in the way. If I had access to a waterjet this would have been a piece of cake to make one-piece.

wow, cool
you can do some serious hauling with that!
it's too pretty to scratch up but then it wouldn't be a cargo bike if you didn't
