Cargo Bicycle Handlebar Ideas
I have a Mundo Yuba, and am thinking about changing the handlebars eventually. The current set aren't bad, but I'd like more hand positions. Any experience? I like drops, but they don't seem common on Cargo bicycles. What about trekking/butterfly bars? Moustache?

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
I really like the trekking bars on my Extrabike... offers lots of hand positions and a great wide position for standing and cranking it up hills.

I have these on my cargo cruiser finding them to be so comfy. I just lay my hands on the grips (siting upright) and cruise down to road!!

I have some open bars/on mary/low sweep/curve back bars on my Trek Transport. They came with Ergon integrated grips/bar ends and I really like them for the cargo bike. I also have Jones Loops on my Pugsley and while nice(and I thought I might put them on the cargo), it turns out I like the angle better on the open bars for hauling. I had MTN Drops on my pugs for a while(Woodchippers) and drops are nice for hand positions BUT sortof put you more aero and over your front wheel, which for hauling, would be odd. Haulers usually ride more upright like a hybrid, so more hybrid type bars or maybe even MTN drop type bars(meant for more upright seating than say, typical road curl drops) might be okay. Not great, but okay.

I'd like more hand positions. Any experience? ... What about trekking/butterfly bars? Moustache?
on the forward part of the figure 8 bend.. I use the mountain bike lever and controls on the back.
the open end of the bar, so they slip on without undoing the padded wrapping of the bars.

I tried a bunch of different handlebar configurations----decided on trekking bars mounted with the open end forward and angled up.

I'm a roadie so I like low bars. To that end I put these FSA bars and stem on my Yuba Mundo. I have them flipped down, they go either way. They have a nice wide flat section 1/2 way out for another hand position.

xtrajack, can you post a picture of your setup with the opening forward? Wondering about this because I sometimes feel cramped using straighter bars even with a higher extended stem and barends. Want to see your shifter/brake configuration. My wife has them with the opening aft, and I'm NOT about to fiddle with HER bike.
