Sun Atlas Cargo ghetto homemade wide loaders - pics
Materials used were some plastic pipe from Home Depot (or maybe it was Lowe's, whatever) that was prethreaded on both ends (1/2" id I believe), end caps, and some pipe strap clamps and #8 nuts/bolts/washers. Two pieces of fence wood. Stainless hose clamps to secure the pipe from sliding laterally.

Ghetto, but effective. Provides a base to haul a box or plastic bucket.

Hope this helps out someone with a Sun.

Very nice. A bigger kid could stand on them and hold on while you pedal.

I have the dumb. How does the wide load platforms mount?

Wait a minute...

so what you're saying is that you took some high strength, lightweight, renewable, organic material; combined it with equally light weight, tubular strength members of recyclable polymer and engineered a cost effective load carrying platform for an environmentally correct, non-polluting transportation system?

Are you sure this is legal?

By the way, the pipe that goes through the bike frame that the wood attaches to is pvc lawn irrigation riser pipe TBE (threaded both ends). Dark gray, can get at most hardware stores in various lengths. Just about exactly the same size OD as the bike frame holes are ID, conveniently.

Super cool :-) Just wish people wouldn't use ghetto as an adjective.
