fun utility bikes in the Philippines
6 Attachment(s)
I was just working in the Visayas in the Philippines, and I saw some awesome utility bikes. It's not uncommon to see huge loads carried by these bikes, and also some of the bikes are used to sell food. On the food bikes, there is a little gas burner hidden in the box to keep the food warm. I saw a few of the drivers of these bike as patients, and I was impressed with their enormous quads. I wish we had more cargo bikes like this for deliveries here is the US. We would be healthier and have less noise and pollution in our cities.

You and me both, man.
Reminds me of this post at Flying Pigeon Project: http://www.flyingpigeonproject.org/2...o-sidecar.html Potato-baker built into a bike. And early on in this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZqvJxeMFz8 You see a Pigeon with built-in cotton candy spinner! M. |
They look like 20" BMX bikes with DIY sidecars on the right side. No 'centered' tricycles or rickshaw taxis? They drive on the right in the PI? just asking. Very creative, look well built.
