Riding in Kelowna

Hey all,
Are there many cyclists from Kelowna around here? I am considering moving to Kelowna at some point in the future and I am wondering how much of the year it is safe to ride a bike outdoors there? I ride almost 12 months of the year in Vancouver without difficulty. I only stop when there's snow or ice on the ground. I know that Kelowna gets much colder in the winter than Vancouver, but I'm not sure if it's a problem there in practice. I would be riding a road bike or touring bike.

Thanks,
Brad
