I was supposed to be going to France this summer and riding the Etape.

For all sorts of reasons that is not happening now, so looking for other events to ride.

I've registered for the Maob Gran Fondo. First weekend in May. I'm going to head down to Moab, Utah and do that one.

Registered for the Whistler Gran Fondo which should be wonderful.

Looking for other events in Alberta or BC - anything out there ?

I don't race but my co-worker does (CAT 2). He says racing season starts sometime in March so there should be lots of races going on throughout spring and summer.

Non-racing events I know of in Vancouver:
- Pacific Populaire (25km, 50km and 100km rides)
- Canada Day Populaire (distance = age of Canada = 143km in 2010)
- Glotman Simpson Cypress Challenge (climb to Cypress Bowl).

There are others I'm sure.
