About the Bike Root:
The Bike Root is a not-for-profit, volunteer run, community bike shop on the University of Calgary campus. Aiming to foster healthy lifestyles, a sense of community, and environmental sustainability on the university campus and community by providing members with the tools, space and expertise to build and maintain one's bicycle.
A yearly $10 membership provides access to our shop and its tools, albeit the brains of our volunteers or the vast number of instruments to repair your ride. We are cooperatively run, therefore we encourage the participation of our members to shape the goals and direction of the organization.
