Zwift

My winter riding in Norteast OH is 90% Zwift on my KICKR/S3 in the basement!
It's addicting. :winter:

I know I should spin in the winter to keep in road riding form but I just can't do it.

A tale of two stories... :)

I think back on how it used to be and I just shake my head... I would have been done riding back when the time changed to Daylight Savings. All my gear would just be languishing and possibly never to used again for 25 years. Of course, work hours were a big factor in my stopping, but I do remember buying a wheel-on trainer and hating it like many think they will hate Zwift.

Retirement sure helps, but I now have a bicycle simulator and I can suit up and ride anytime I want. I enjoy it almost as much as going outside. For me, the bottom line is: I can meet and enjoy the company of others on Zwift. I did some researching before I decided on what route to go with my KickR and I did not try it, but Trainer Road looks like a video and you are alone(?). Not for me. (oops I think I am cross-linking my reply with another thread!)

For the record, I really look forward to riding with others outside again, but it is just not happening right now (Hoosier winter).

Yeah, I can see the social aspect being a huge bonus of Zwift. Most of my winter riding is solo because nobody wants to go tear up roads with me on the snow and ice.
