Hit the road inbetween storms

We had over a foot of snow last week and they are projecting 8-10 last I checked for Monday night into Tuesday. So I knew I had a window to hit the road with the road bike. So it was off for a chilly wet and dirty 24 miles. Looks like I'll be back on the fat bike this week, but it sure was good to be back on the road foe a bit.

We had over a foot too. All the residential side streets are reduced to a single rutted lane. Its been great for fat biking, but the soft rutted paths / snowmobile tracks I've taken the past 2 days was like riding up hill continuously. I've got a 20 tooth chainring and a 12-36 cassette and rode in 20x36 for a large part of those rides.

I’m getting antsy, I’ve been at work and traveling for 10-12 days.
Haven’t even been on the trainer much. This hopefully will be the last snow event.

Nice. We've missed all that stuff here, but now instead of snow we have wind. Rode yesterday in 25mph stuff, set a bunch of pr's going south, not so great coming back north!

Get it while you can. Nice job...and thanks for the video. I'm growing tired of indoor sessions :) but Zwift does help.

It's the first year I haven't got on the trainer. I decided to purchase a 29 plus and fat bike so I could spend the winter riding outside. I live in a really active snowmobile region and 100+ miles of trails are right outside my door, so played on the groomed trails this winter.

Zipp.
Are those trails usable for cycling year round? Im looking for gravel rides for the coming year and you probably arent far from me. Im in Northwest RI.
So much for our 4th nor’easter. Im glad we didnt get pounded but quite a blunder on the forecasting this time.

I ride the trails year round, and if you decide to visit the area let me know and more than happy to ride the trails with you. If you check out my You Tube channel (Zipp2001) you will find videos of the trails. Whatever type trail you like to ride you'll find it out there. It's the Lake Dennison area of Winchendon, MA.
