29er MTB studded tires, what are you using?

I had some tame 2" tires but I went down 1 too many times last winter so I was thinking a cpl MMs wider & more aggressive w/ bigger deeper voids. I moved the MTB tires to my hybrid. your standard marathon winters

hanging loose before mounting

I am using Schwalbe Marathon Winter 700 x 40 mm, they actually measure closer to 42 mm wide which I find perfect for all around riding...I also have a set of Schwalbe Winter in a 700 x 30 mm size, these are a cheaper version of Marathon Winter which have two rows of studs along the middle...In the past I've used Nokian Extremes 294s

I have Nokian Hakkapalliitta W240 size 700x40 but they need to be replaced. It doesn't look like they make them anymore so I'm interested in what would be comparable. They were dang good.

Save them for when there is some serious ice, no point of wasting them on pavement.

That last pic, looks like some of the studs are not installed all the way in, I would push them in and go for a ride on bare pavement to set the studs properly.
