Winter Weather Alert
Winter Storm Elliot is making its way from Iowa and Missouri to Virginia and all the way up to Northeast Maine. It will hit New England with southeasterly winds.
I do not recall the last "So-Easter" up in New England but easterly winds up here are usually trouble
Winds may be more challenging than the rain. They also mentioned risk of a cold snap and ice the next day.

At my house north of Cheyenne, the temperature was minus 30 degrees at 8 am. Wind chills are minus 50 or so.

2" of rain expected in my area. the sump pump should be able to keep up, so long as it has power
this morning, someone told me, that in the Midwest somewhere, it dropped 30 degrees in 9 minutes. yeah, that's a flash freeze alright
I guess Saturday morning will be interesting

Just brought a bunch of firewood inside for the wood stove, urban redneck that I am. Nothing like losing power in cold snap.
Hard to imagine the cold in Montana and Wyoming.

Our friends up in Northern New England may be getting a plowable snow on Saturday. Nuisance sleet and slush here in Massachusetts.
Wednesday might bring rain and snow for Massachusetts
