Now I'm ready for Winter

Work was crazy this Christmas season and I had no time to ride. Now it's back to normal and I'm able to get back on the bike. The Fat bike gets most of the work during Winter and today I went out for a couple of hours to get the legs some work. It was nice and cold and I also found out that the water was cold also (lol). Today's ride was my Fat bike version of the movie Titanic.

S.C.U.B.A. much? Oh my! Couldn’t listen to the audio just now but when you turned around I thought good smart man. Not entirely like the old risk taker I’m used to watching but then you turned again to face the impending disaster as if to get a running start and I thought oh no. I saw the optimism of riding the edge disappear and then I realized you were committed but also felt your regret as it looked worse and deeper then saw ice chips flying saying to myself no no no no no how will this end. I was truly worried for you. But since you often start your videos w a recap I knew the hero would not perish. Here’s hoping you recovered w/ some warming!

rumrunn6 you should know me by now that when I see water it's go time. Better judgement gets thrown out the window and it's charge forward and enjoy the ride ahead.

Icebreaker mode can be a lot of fun, I usually only get to do that in the spring. How it turns out can depend a lot on how thick the ice is, which you don't know until it starts breaking. Sometimes when the ice is thick the front wheel is locked straight as the ice won't allow it to move side to side which makes for funky handling. Think ice that slowly eats up all your momentum isn't good, because you really don't want to stop. Ice cold water in the boots is no fun.

20s this morning, I suspect some thin ice is gonna show up soon, eh?
