in Southern NY, just North of NYC for the weekend. only expecting rain & wind. maybe some wet snow but it will all wash away. 200 miles North, back home will be completely different by Saturday nite. even tho temps won't be far from 32F, it's gonna accumulate & need plowing

Snow turned out to be a dusting, got up to 45° F, trail was a combination of mud and slush, still a lot of fun. Gonna be warm again tomorrow.

We got a foot of snow. But it’s warm today. I just did a drive to scout the roads just north of me (they’re usually good) and conditions are awesome.
Hoping to do a 50k road ride tomorrow

seems like we could be getting the "storm of the season" Monday noon thru Tuesday into Wednesday with 8"-12" of wet snow
... we do need milk ...
EDIT - they just upped the predictions to 18"-24" oh boy. there's a paved bike trail near me that get's plowed. I expect Tuesday would be a fun ride as the pavement gets covered, but I have to work. grrr ...
now they are using the word "monster" & saying there will definitely be power outages, possibly long tern due to periodic blizzard conditions preventing line repair

We only got about 1/4 of what was forecast with last night's snow. I'm happy about that since I'll be able to keep on riding my mountain bike instead of switching back to the fat bike. Though I might do a fat bike ride this even after the wind dies down. If I'm lucky there is enough moisture in the snow that it will bond to the ice on the side streets and give me some better traction. Many of the side streets were like this the past week, clear but lumpy ice. Enough grip with studded tires but I always had to be on my toes.
