27" winter tires?
Any recommendations? I did a search but didn't find anything specifically on 27"ers. I know that studs are preferable for ice, but I don't know if anyone sells 27" studded tires. I read some of the archived articles on making your own--you just screw in some screws, maybe add nuts on the outside? Any particular kind of pattern to use? This will be a fixed gear winter beater... |
I found decent moderately knobby 27" tires at a local bike shop. The owner said he keeps them in stock to turn old bikes into hybrids to sell to college students. They were Kenda brand.

Hey, thanks. Just for clarification, HiYo, 700c tires with 38c width can be used on 27" rims? |

Didn't think so. As far as the Kendas, you have a link? Nashbar? Performance? Supergo? Thanks. |
